TikTok App now available for Android TV | Download

TikTok is officially available for Android TV. This small video sharing platform is extremely popular among the youth. However, a few days ago there was bad news for its Indian users. The Indian government has permanently banned a total of 59 apps, including Tikkok (Tikk Ban in India). The app was banned last year but has now got a permanent ban, which makes it clear that Tiktok will no longer make changes in India (Tiktok India Comeback). However, the app is still being used extensively in other countries and given this, developers have also officially managed it for Android TV.

TikTok App now available for Android TV

Tiktok is now available on Google TV's Play Store with Chromecast as an Android TV app. A report by GizmoChina states that it is currently available in some regions. Upon checking by the publication, they did not find this app on Mi TV Box's Play Store.

At the same time, Android Police says that you can watch videos without signing into this app, and if you are willing to see your created list, you can also sign in to the app. The videos reportedly also play on TV in portrait mode. The app is also made easy to control. To watch the next or previous video, you have to use the click and left navigation buttons respectively and pressing the "more" button will bring up other options.

Let us tell you that 59 Chinese companies including TikTok, WeChat have been banned in India. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) banned these apps last year. Earlier sources told Gadgets 360 that the government had sought answers to some questions related to collecting and using user data from all those app companies after the ban. The ban seems to be that the government was not satisfied with the answers given by the companies.
